When is the deadline for registering?
- The last day to register is the day the camp starts, but the showcase usually fills up before then so sign up now.
When will I be put on a team?
- Teams are assigned the Monday before the start of camp.
How do I know what team I am on?
- tchccommissioner@gmail.com will send a mass email to all participants with the team rosters attached.
What is the process for which team I am placed on?
- Players are put on a team on a first come first serve basis based on when you register and based on which schools you list as interested in.
Can I request to be on a specific team?
- Your best chance of getting on the team you want is to register early and to put that school first on your list of interested schools, but their are no guarantees.
Can I request to be on the same team as another player?
- Yes, you can send an email requesting this, but you need to cc the parent of the other player, and this could hurt your chances of being on the specific team you want.
I already signed up but need additional lunches, can I order more?
- Yes send an email to tchccommissioner@gmail.com and bring a check for the amount made out to Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference to the registration table on the first day of the showcase.
I have a conflict and have to miss one of the games, is that ok?
- Yes send an email to tchccommissioner@gmail.com notifying us of the player name and the game time you will be missing. There is no refund for missing any games.
How are players chosen for the Coaches' Selects game?
- After the second game Saturday evening the Coaches from all teams get together and select which players they think are deserving of playing in the game. Selections are entirely up to the Coaches and are not necessarily based on skill, points, save percentage, or any other stat. And playing or not playing in this game will not improve or hurt your chances of playing for one of the schools in the future. It is simply one bonus game entirely for fun.
What is to be expected of the lunch on Saturday? Is it a come and go lunch? Or is attendance expected for the entire two hours? How should he be dressed? Casual attire coming from a game, or nicer clothes?
- Dress code for the luncheon is casual. The doors will open around 12:30. When the doors are open everyone can come get lunch and find a table and start to eat. Presentations will start 15 minutes after the doors open and will last for about 30 minutes. After presentations, all TCHC teams will be set up at tables around the room where players and families can go up to the tables and speak with the team, coaches, players and school administrators. After presentations, you can come and go as you like. You're not expected to stay the whole time.
Do I have to stay at a certain hotel (stay to play)?
- No, you may stay wherever you like!
